Pan para Hoy / Today`s Bread

Este trabajo se inspira en los monolitos de piedras apiladas que hacen los japoneses para honrar y rememorar a la famila que pertenecen. Así, la primera piedra de la base es la más grande y representa al miembro mayor del grupo familiar, y simboliza al mismo tiempo la importancia de la persona y la contención que ejerce sobre los demás. Las siguientes piedras se agrupan encima en orden decreciente, quedando en la cima el menor de la familia.

Los monolitos de esta obra, en cambio, son hechos de pan. El pan es alimento físico, nutre al cuerpo, pero además es símbolo de la cotidianeidad de la familia. El pan es el centro de de la hora del té, instancia de reunión familiar y de amistades.

Dónde secomparte pan, se crea unión, se desarrollan lazos. Así, como es necesario comer a diario, se hace indispensable alimentar afectivamente a quienes se quiere porque, al igual que el pan, el afecto es efímero.

La bolsa de pan se muestra como contenedor de cariño y protección, metáfora de la familia emocional que hay que alimentar.

This work is inspired by the monoliths of stacked stone that the Japanese make to honor and remember the family they belong to. The first stone of the base is the largest and represents the oldest member of the family group, and at the same time symbolizes the importance of the person and the support he or she exerts on others. The following stones are grouped on top in descending order, with the youngest of the family remaining at the top.
The monoliths in this work, on the other hand, are made of bread. Bread is physical food, it nourishes the body, but it is also a symbol of the daily life of the family. Bread is the center of tea time, a time for family reunion and friendship.
Where bread is shared, unity is created, bonds are developed. As it is necessary to eat daily, it is essential to emotionally feed those you love because, like bread, affection is ephemeral.
The bag of bread is shown as a container of affection and protection, a metaphor for the emotional family that must be fed.
