La Inocencia Perdida / Lost Innocence

Este vestido perteneció a mis tías. La ropa en esa época era un bien escaso, se heredaba de una hermana a la siguiente, según como fueran creciendo. En esta obra quiero explorar como hemos cambiado como sociedad durante los últimos 50 años. Pasamos una dictadura de Pinochet, los escándalos asociados a la iglesia católica, el estallido social de 2019 y la pandemia de Covid. ¿Seguimos rumiando traumas heredados? ¿Cómo nos han cambiado estos eventos? ¿Vemos de igual manera el mundo? ¿O hemos perdido ya la inocencia?

This dress belonged to my aunts. Clothes at that time were a scarce commodity, they were inherited from one sister to the next, depending on how they grew up. In this work I want to explore how we have changed as a society during the last 50 years. We went through a dictatorship in Chile, the scandals associated with the Catholic Church, a social outbreak in 2019 and the covid pandemic. Are we still hurting on inherited traumas? How have these events changed us? Do we see the world in the same way? Or have we already lost our innocence?
